Artist's Comments

Once again, the crazy sky painter went wild here... This morning, the sky was quiet and blue, then he just came with his giant brushes and his huge rollers and one hour later the sky was like an unbelievable smoky white phantasmagoria... He was surely in a very special mood today, because it seems that he has thrown up in the air all his remaining wet paint before the rain would wash everything away... Even the earth, totally undecided about light or shadow, was playing hide-and-seek with the confused sun beams, lost among such an inconstant sky...

Shot today, 4:00 pm, close to my village, on the road to “Les rives”...
Canon EOS 300D + Canon 10-22 mm lens.
I’ve just added a little bit of contrast and clarity with Photo Shop, noise reduction with Neat Image and frame with Paint Shop Pro...
No manip of any kind, the light, the smoky atmosphere and the acid green moor nuances are totally natural...

when i lay me down at night, knowing we must pay..thoughts occur that this night might stay yesterday...thoughts that we as humans, small, could slow worlds and end it all lie around me where they fall, before the new day

Well, well, well. That´s a masterpiece of landscape. Not by a french painter, but by someone from Netherlands, because the sky is the great motive of this wonderful photo. Course: the land, with the same ritm, is fundamental for the harmony of the whole work. Congratulation, my friend.
