Lumière d’outre temps,
Parfum de lettre close,
Mémoire d’un automne
En pastels camaïeux,
De lentes effusions
En caresses moroses,
Le givre de la vie
Teint d’argent ses cheveux.

Errant dans un brouillard
D’illusions perdues,
De soupirs en désirs
Amortis sans instants,
Cicatrisés mais gourds
Sans ces cœurs disparus,
Partielle cécité
D’un esprit sans présent,

D’un passé irréel
A un futur de brume,
Les fils de la raison
Se défont un à un ;
Sans l’envers du désir
Et sans son amertume,
Elle aspire le gris
Des couleurs de chacun,

Attend, suspend ses mots,
Espace ses pensées,
Une image sur deux
Pour les retenir mieux,
Elle en diffère tout
Par crainte de faner
La lumière effleurant
Ses dernières fleurs bleues.

This is a poem I wrote some years ago, I think it fits well with this picture...

It's strange how this old lady seems to look at the wall, thinking : "well, this wall is as round as my hump... maybe this small stairway leads to a magic place where there are no hunchbacks, where nobody is ill, where nobody is suffering..."
This lady is called Jeanne, she has worked all her life long at the hospital, at the surgery block, bent all days long on anyone's troubles, bent all nights long on everybody's nightmares. Now, she takes care of her husband, who is at the hospital... So, she will not follow these stairs... She still has a lot to do...
But who will take care of her later?

well i can't understand the poem exactly but the photo is breathtaking, dear.
it looked like a painting in the thumbnail.

i love how the woman is sloped and so is the leftside of the wall.

The descriptions you write are just as beautiful as your photographs.
Very touching image.

great composition  her hump makes her appear as if she's rounding the corner for sure or peering. the sloped walk is great too - i love the lines in this and again -how it all composes
